If you're headed down Ensenada way this weekend, you might want to make a detour to Valle de Guadalupe to take in some of the events surrounding the 23rd annual Fiestas de la Vendimia through Saturday.

Not to worry, plenty of wine tastings, dinners, visits to wineries and more. Most events include live music—and of course plenty of local wine.
Highlights Thursday night include a dinner of French-inspired cuisine featuring Moulin Rouge music at Torres Alegre y Familia winery ($114 per person) and a wine pairing at Viñas de Garza winery with local and guest chefs ($14 per person).
On Friday, celebrate the end of the harvest with music and food at Hacienda La Lomita ($73) or in Mexicali hosted by Mexicali Wine Guild ($46).
Saturday brings yet another vendimia fiesta at Hotel la Villa del Valley with cocktails and dinner from chefs Enrique Olvera, Guillermo Gonzalez Beristain and Diego Hernandea Baqueano ($175). Chateau Camou winery is showcasing a Romantic Sunset complete with live music and appetizers ($126 per couple).
If you’ve been curious about Valle de Guadalupe wine country, this is the moment to explore what’s going on in this beautiful valley filled with vineyards, organic farms and restaurants, some of them summer pop-ups from well-known Mexican chefs, and many of them outdoors.
