ICBC presented a different exposure, looks into


Looks into the artistic vision of psychopathology is the exhibition that is scheduled to open on Friday 16 March at 19:00 hours in the City Gallery of the Cultural Institute of Baja California (ICBC), the work of patients of mental health inpatient unit San Ignacio de Loyola.

The mental health hospital unit "San Ignacio de Loyola" was founded in 1998 by the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady of Peace as an extension of the house of the poor and is located in the city mercy which is located south of municipality of Playas de Rosarito.

Within the work programs of the hospital is the rehabilitation program that includes arts, culture, sports and psychotherapists, which aim to reintegrate patients into society, and the recovery of lost abilities in the wake of various psychiatric disorders.

 As for cultural activities include the arts, in which paint goes on its effect of emotional expression, projection psychopathological relaxing effect it has on patients to your practice.

This exhibition is part of a hospital program that seeks to strengthen links with society, in an effort to destigmatize mental illness.

Its aim is to heal artistic media painting, creative abilities and ingenuity and reach an "insight" (awareness of illness). As working hard with patients to optimize the healing process, remission or control of the different symptoms.

Thus, through a joint effort and research has given the art analysis in patients with psychiatric disorders, and found through aspects of cognitive-behavioral therapy, to achieve satisfactory results.

Invites the general public to appreciate Looks patients within mental health Hospital San Ignacio de Loyola and see art from a different perspective, as well as part of the opening which will be exhibiting at the Gallery City, Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 17:00 hours with no admission charge.
